A PSK-based Multi-hop Authentication for Home Network and its Implementation Using PUCC Protocol.

Recently, advances in wireless and processor technologies, various devices have been networked in the home environment. However, current home networking standards are not standardized, and home gateways are used to interconnect various devices that comply with different home networking standards. In such an environment, security challenges include establishing secure sessions between different home network devices via home gateways and performing secure communication even with low-performance devices. In this paper, we propose a PSK-based multi-hop authentication that enables secure communication between devices with different home network standards. Furthermore, we design and implement the proposed security protocol using the PUCC protocol defined by the P2P Universal Computing Consortium (PUCC) and evaluate its feasibility.
