Tr-Estimate: A Novel Machine Learning Based Early Prediction System for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder using IoMT.

A mental condition that develops after exposure to a threatening event is called post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The symptoms and impact of this disorder can be observed within one month of the event but sometimes can also be observed at a later stage if the person is under events that may trigger the previous accident experience. Predicting the development of PTSD among survivors is a challenge that is addressed through Tr-Estimate, a novel machine learning-based consumer system that has been proposed to indicate the probability of developing PTSD among survivors with various medical histories to improve the health and well-being of the users. The PTSD levels are classified into two levels - PTSD and no PTSD which are again sub-classified into three different categories to accommodate users with medical histories. The prediction of the probability of the development of PTSD is made by continuously monitoring and analyzing the physiological signal parameters of the user.
