The 2022 Joseph W. St Geme, Jr, Leadership Award Address-Diversity and Social Justice: The Field of Pediatrics Can and Should Lead

The following is an address given by the 2022 recipient of the Joseph W. St. Geme, Jr. Leadership Award, presented by the Federation of Pediatric Organizations at the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting on April 22, 2022. Lack of diversity in the pediatric workforce is linked to social injustices in communities of color. Improvement requires leadership, mentoring, sponsorships, and collective impact partnerships.
