摘要
This study involves the cyclic lateral loading effect on the batter anchored and ordinary pile group inside dry sandy soil with a relative density of 65%. The piles used in the study are made of steel and have a shaft diameter of 10 mm and a total length of 370 mm. The spacing between piles is equal to (S = 3Dh), where (Dh) is the helix diameter and the pile tilt angles of (5°, 10°, and 15°). Installing the piles in dry sand at a depth of (L/d) = 33, where (L) is the piles' embedded length and (d) is the piles' diameter. Using three types of piles, a pile with one helix (single helix pile), a pile with two helixes (double helix pile), and a pile without a helix (ordinary pile). The test findings showed that for all types of piles and all tilt angles in this study, an increase in the periodic lateral load ratios leads to an increase in the lateral displacement. Also, the lateral displacement is about (12–34%), (11–26.5%), and (9–21.5%) of the pile diameter for the batter ordinary pile group, the batter single helix pile group, and the batter double helix pile group, respectively, at 100 cyclic number for all cyclic loading ratios and all tilt angles.
