Bupleurum eskisehiricum (Apiaceae), a new species from Türkiye
Anatolian Journal of Botany(2023)
摘要
Some interesting Bupleurum (Apiaceae) specimens with very branched stems, (1–)2-rayed inflorescences and ivory-white bracteoles were collected from Tepebaşı District (Eskişehir Province). The specimes, at first glance, resembled the Bupleurum sulphureum (sect. Aristata) species, which is endemic in Türkiye, as a habit. However, as a result of detailed examination, it was determined that there were some differences. Based on these differences, the specimens were presented to the scientific world as a new species and were named Bupleurum eskisehiricum. The fact that the inflorescences are (1–)2 rays (not ((3–)4(–5)); the bracts are 4–5 mm long (not 7–12(–20) mm); the bracteoles are ivory-white and with arista up to 0.5 mm long (not sulphur-yellow and with arista 1.2–2.5 mm); the petals milky-white (not yellowish); the styles 0.6–0.7 mm long (not 0.4–0.5 mm) and the mericarps 2.73.1 mm long (not 2.2–2.4 mm) are the most obvious attributes that separate Bupleurum eskisehiricum from B. sulphureum, that is a close species. Here, a detailed description of the new species, informative photographs, and some ecological preferences were given.
