摘要

•Mg/Al hydrotalcite with CO32− interlayer was prepared by co-deposition method and modified at high temperature to obtain Mg/Al-CLDH.•The maximum adsorption capacity of modified Mg/Al-CLDH for chloride ions is 172 mg/g.•The adsorption of Mg/Al-CLDH on chloride ions is mainly monolayer adsorption and chemical adsorption.
