摘要

•The addition of Ce% changed the crystal system from monoclinic to tetragonal.•The addition of Ce% led to a variation in grain size from 34.22 to 36.41 nm.•The magnetization properties increased with increasing Ce%.•The addition of Ce% led to a decrease in bandgap energy from 2.540 to 2.246 eV.•The increase of Ce% enhanced the gamma and neutron shielding properties.
