摘要

•Suspension oxidation roasting was proposed to treat vanadium-bearing shale ore.•A vanadium leach extraction of 85.52% was obtained by the SOR method.•The layered structure of muscovite transformed into a porous structure in roasting.•Temperature above 900 °C hindered vanadium leaching owing to samples sintering.
