摘要
A technique for optimizing the parameters of a standard time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy setup, which allows to increase the signal-to-noise ratio. Cadmium telluride (CdTe) cut along the (110) plane was used as a detecting crystal. A femtosecond solid-state ytterbium laser with a central radiation wavelength of 1050 nm was chosen as the pump radiation source. A study of detecting properties of an electro-optical CdTe crystal for three angles between polarizations of probing and terahertz pulses showed that the maximum signal-to-noise ratio is achieved at an angle of 90° between polarizations.
