摘要
One of the most difficult issues in wireless sensor networks is neighbor discovery because of the combination of limited power, short duty cycle, and high mobility. The two categories of discovery designs currently in use are pairwise-based and group-based. The later approaches speed up discovery but increase transmission package size or incur excessive energy overhead, making them far from practical. The former suffer from a significant discovery delay. In this paper, we suggest an enhancement to a previously known neighbor discovery protocol (THL2H), which does not impose a cap on the number of additional beacons while rearranging the listening slots. As a result, simulation findings show that the proposed protocol, known as THL2H-Ex, performs better than its counterparts.
