Documented records of the Eared Dove (Zenaida auriculata Des Murs, 1847; Aves: Columbidae) in Loreto-Peru

The Eared Dove Zenaida auriculata is widely distributed in the lowlands of the Peruvian coast and inter-Andean valleys at elevations ranging from sea level to 4000 masl, often in cities and agricultu-ral areas that favor the development of its population. Reports in Peruvian Amazon are scarce and undocumented. In this note, we document the record of Z. auriculata in the city of Iquitos.
