ACCOORD - An ensemble methodology for cryo-EM particle picking

Multiple computational methods currently exist for (semi-)automated particle picking of cryogenic-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) data. While they reduce the laborious particle picking process, their agreement is limited due to differences in their algorithm(s) and model-training strategies. This discordance complicates the decision of which method is best suited or more reliable for a protein of interest. The goal of this work is to reduce false positives introduced by individual methods and improve particle identification using a consensus algorithm.
