Disciplinary horizons and main themes of Sciences Sociales et Sante (1994-2021)

Using tools and methods of network mapping and semantic analysis, this article explores how the journal Sciences Sociales et Sante fits into the space of health social sciences, and more broadly of social sciences. Based on a corpus of articles published in Sciences Sociales et Sante between 1994 and 2021, the article identifies, on the one hand, the disciplinary horizons that have fueled the journal's publications over the past 30 years and, on the other hand, highlights current or past main themes and their relative prevalence. These analyses confirm and extend those carried out on the occasion of the previous anniversary issues of the journal. The thematic analysis of the last thirty years of the journal's publications shows that it has remained faithful to the core of its project: to report - via a multidisciplinary view - on the multiple debates on health and its societal issues.
