To regulate artificial intelligence, also in law enforcement

This presentation provides a short overview on the history of IT-regulation in Europe, in particular on the AI-act as it was proposed by the European Commission re-cently. The paper argues that many ethical preconditions of conflicting fundamental rights need further analysis. Those are currently hidden behind a complicated system of norms, exceptions and counterexceptions in the proposed text and urgently need further clarification.
