The determinant of finite semigroups of the pseudovariety ECOM

The purpose of this paper is to identify the non-zero semigroup determinant of a class of finite semigroups in which every two idempotents commute. These semigroups are a larger class than the semigroups with central idempotents and also inverse semigroups.
