Unsolicited patient images and burnout in dermatology

Patient-submitted images can be helpful for medical decision-making when requested by dermatologists. However, unsolicited photographs may burden dermatologists and have variable clinical usefulness. In this survey study, we characterized dermatologists' views on unsolicited patient photographs across various practice settings.
