Design of Vital Signs Detection System Based on 77GHz FMCW Radar

摘要
In this paper, a vital signs detection system based on 77GHz frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar is proposed and implemented. The peripheral radio frequency module and antenna array are designed on the basis of AWR1843 radar chip. A threshold discriminant method of target phase energy based on statistics is proposed to distinguish target and clutter signal in complex environment. EDACM demodulation algorithm was used to restore the target chest displacement signal, and VMD algorithm was used to separate the respiratory signal and heartbeat signal. All the algorithms are deployed in the radar system to realize the system of extracting and separating vital signs signal from radar echo.
