Coexistence of superparamagnetism and superspin glass in non-stoichiometric Zn0.5Ca0.5Fe2O4 nanoferrite

摘要
•Non-stoichiometric Zn0.5Ca0.5Fe2O4 ferrite nanoparticles exhibit dominant superparamagnetic character at 300 K.•Relaxation dynamics accompanied by ageing, memory and rejuvenation establishes superspin glass coexisting with superparamagnetism at low temperatures in ZCF NPs.•Dipolar inter-particle interactions, randomness in anisotropic & positional distributions along with exchange bias leads to superspin glass phase in ZCF NPs.
