Implementation of Internet of Maritime Things Platform in the Ocean

This work presents the implementation of Internet of Maritime Things (IoMT) platform, which enables long-range and high-rate marine communication. Then, real sea experiments are performed to show the performances of the proposed IoMT platform. The results shows that the proposed IoMT platform can gather not only data from marine sensors but also high definition camera video from distances of 25 km and 40 km to the control center on land under one-hop and two-hop transmissions, respectively.
