摘要
MoS2 Nanoflowers Scanning electron microscopy of hydrothermally synthesized MoS2 reveals a morphology well-described by nanoflowers (see article number 2200393 by Carla Bittencourt and colleagues). Chemical analysis of the nanoflowers shows the presence of 2H-MoS2 and MoOx, the excess of oxygen atoms being detrimental to electronic and optical properties. Ion irradiation can be used for changing the stoichiometry of the material. Irradiating the nanoflowers using low-kinetic energy hydrogen ions decreases the relative oxygen amount, whereas the photoluminescence intensity observed at 1.71 eV is increased.
