摘要

•Polymeric NPs functionalized with NGR peptides to target breast cancer are developed.•Targeting peptides are anchored on NP surface through two non-covalent binding strategies.•The uptake of NPs in MDA-MB231 cancer cells is mediated by Neuropilin-1 receptor.•Targeted NPs loaded with docetaxel are more cytotoxic than free drug.•Targeted NPs show superior activity in a mice model of breast cancer.
