Detection of Myocardial Injury After Noncardiac Surgery: Levelling the Troponin Playing Field.
The Canadian journal of cardiology(2023)
摘要
The troponin complex is made up of regulatory proteins found in cardiac myocytes that are integral to efficient cardiac muscle contraction. The complex is made up of 3 subunits: troponin C (TnC), troponin I (TnI), and troponin T (TnT). During myocardial ischemia, downstream hypoxic effects lead to myocyte cell death and rupture of the cell membrane. 1 Park K.C. Gaze D.C. Collinson P.O. Marber M.S. High-Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin I Thresholds to Identify Myocardial Injury After Noncardiac Surgery: A Cohort StudyCanadian Journal of CardiologyVol. 39Issue 3PreviewMyocardial injury after noncardiac surgery (MINS) is common and associated with short- and long-term major cardiovascular events. Diagnostic criteria for MINS using Abbott high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI) are unknown. Full-Text PDF
