Cross-modal co-feedback cellular automata for RGB-T saliency detection

•A novel RGB-T saliency detection framework is proposed.•We put forward to a cross-modality co-feedback mechanism to take both advantages of RGB and thermal infrared information.•A novel weighted background-based map is presented to generate a coarse saliency map.•We develop a novel boundary-guided pixel-wise refinement technology.•Experimental results indicate the superiority of the proposed approach.
