Enhancing the photo-electrocatalytic properties of g-C3N4 by boron doping and ZIF-8 hybridization

摘要
•ZIF-8 aged on the surface of g-C3N4, while Boron was deeply inserted into g-C3N4.•Boron doping was strongly influencing the electric activity of the catalyst.•ZIF-8 slightly increased the electric conductivity and strongly influenced the light response.•B-g-C3N4/ZIF-8 shows enhanced the current density in dark condition by 61.9 % and in light condition by 53.7 %.
