摘要

•We introduce the 5-item Generic Conspiracist Beliefs Scale (GCB-5).•The GCB-5 is a short-form measure of conspiracist ideation.•Across five studies, the GCB-5 demonstrated good reliability and validity.•In Study 5, the GCB-5 was associated with support for the use of nuclear weapons.•It was also associated with support for other acts of so-called “virtuous violence”.
