Formation control of T-S fuzzy systems with event-triggered sampling scheme via membership function dependent approach

Formation control of multi-agent systems has a wide range of applications, but it has not been paid much attention in Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems. In this paper, an event -triggered sampling strategy is designed for the formation control of T-S fuzzy systems, which allows the fuzzy controller and the fuzzy model not to share the same membership functions. The control strategy reduces the transmission frequency of sampling states by setting event conditions for information transmission. By means of Lyapunov stability the-ory, a set of formation conditions based on LMI is established. Less conservative and more efficient conditions are also obtained based on the properties of membership functions. Numerical examples show the validity of the proposed formation conditions, and the con-servatism of the two criteria is compared.(c) 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
