Development of Auto Transfer Switch for Industrial Micro-grids

Industrial progress of any country is directly linked with the continuous supply of energy at reasonable prices. This thinking motivated the research and development sectors to explore the possibilities of adoption of renewable energy. However, integration of renewable energy with the conventional system is challenging. Further, uninterruptable power supply is the ultimate requirement of many manufacturing processes. Therefore, there is a need to develop auto transfer switch for a hybrid power system that should ensure eradication of power quality issues and removal of chances of system interruption. In this research, auto transfer switch is developed and analyzed under the integrated power sources. Simulations are created in Matlab/ Simulink. Hardware prototype of auto transfer switch is developed to demonstrate the practicality of the proposed idea.
