摘要
Nanodiamond (ND) with nitrogen vacancy (NV) is an excellent emitter due to its high yield, broad spectrum and photo and chemical stability. We investigate its steady state and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL). The lifetime of NDs has been found to be excitation and emission wavelength dependent. While the ND-coupled microcavities exhibit modification of the radiative rates indicating Purcell effect, temperature dependent PL exhibits a red-shift of the zero phonon lines of NV centers. NDs have been coupled with two different types of microcavities to tune the temperature induced shifts of the phonon lines. The shifts have been found to be dependent on the thermal properties of the cavity along with the variation in the activation energies of NV centers.
