Multi-Sensors based smart nutrient reuse management system for closed soilless culture under protected cultivation

•A customized automated fertigation system was developed and evaluated satisfactorily.•A programmable logic controller (PLC) was used to automate the whole fertigation mixing and recycling process.•This system successfully produced higher crop yields and saved water along with nutrients.
