Supramolecular assembly-enhanced chiroptical properties of pyrene-modified cyclodextrins

Di-pyrene-substituted γ-cyclodextrins (γ-CD) self-assembled into nanostrips in aqueous solution, which exhibited significant chiroptical properties with ultrahigh gabs and glum values up to 4.3 × 10−2 and 5.3 × 10−2, respectively. Simultaneously, it also had excellent chiral emission performance with the highest BiCPL value of 169.3 (mol/L)−1cm−1 so far for excimer fluorescence. Image, graphical abstract
