摘要

•LiNiO2 is investigated with a suitable oxygen partial pressure (pO2) at calcination.•The calcination pO2 only affects the surface of LiNiO2 rather than the bulk.•Increasing pO2 decreases the off-stoichiometry of LiNiO2.•The LiNiO2 calcined at the highest pO2 has the 1st capacity of 239.8 mAh g−1 (93.4%).
