•We report one-step synthesis of SnS/Fe2O3-G heterostructure via plasma milling.•The hybrid has structure of SnS/Fe2O3 nanoclusters anchored on graphene layers.•The heterostructure shows enhanced charge/ion transfer and interfacial interaction.•The heterostructure exhibits superb performance for both half cell and full cell.
