摘要

•A new peptide hydrogel doped with nanoparticles was developed for local siMMP-9 delivery and diabetic wound healing.•The peptide hydrogel could prolong the retention of siRNA-loaded NPs at wound tissues.•The peptide hydrogel could gradually release the siRNA-loaded NPs to enhance siRNA uptake by keratinocytes.•The siRNA delivery system could promote diabetic wound healing via efficient silencing MMP-9 expression.
