Synthesis of chorogi-like Au nanoparticles with chiral plasmonic response and enantioselective electrocatalytic activity

•Chorogi-like Au nanoparticles were synthesized by a cysteine-directed strategy.•Pentatwinned Au bipyramids were used as seeds in the synthesis.•Cysteine molecules transferred chirality to the Chorogi-like Au nanoparticles.•Chorogi-like Au nanoparticles exhibited enantioselective electrocatalytic activity.
