Molecular interactions of local anesthetics in aqueous MgCl2 solutions: A volumetric, acoustic and spectroscopic analysis

摘要
•Electrostriction decreases while hydrophobic hydration increases with temperature for both solutes.•Hydrophobic-ionic interactions dominate at higher MgCl2 concentrations for both drugs.•Structure breaking effect of both drugs increases with increase in concentration of MgCl2.•Solute-co-solute interactions are more pronounced in TC than PC drug.•The upfield shift has been observed in all the protons of PC and TC at higher MgCl2 concentration.
