摘要
•Finely controlled morphology of carbon via chemical activation.•Developed a green approach for nitrogen functionalising of biomass derived carbon.•Nitrogen content up to 10.37 at% through cold plasma treatment in N2 environment.•Ultra-micropore (pores < 0.86 nm) controls CO2 adsorption.•Pyrrolic-N and pyridinic-N had little influence on the CO2 adsorption.
