On the behavior of thermospheric O1D 630.0 nm dayglow emission during counter electrojet events

摘要

•Variability of 630.0 nm dayglow emission during CEJ events has been discussed.•The 630.0 nm dayglow shows enhancement followed by an unusual depletion during CEJ.•This has been investigated using collocated observations and modelling simulations.•The modified plasma fountain during the CEJ can explain the observed variability.
