摘要
•Internal carotid artery stenosis often causes ischemic stroke.•Carotid artery revascularization (CEA/CAS) can prevent ischemic stroke.•CEA/CAS can also increase supratentorial cerebral perfusion and function.•The cerebrum controls vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) (e.g., visual suppression).•Visual suppression of VOR is a marker for the CEA/CAS effect on cerebral function.
