Topology Optimization of Optical Devices Using Function Expansion Method and CMA-ES

摘要
In order to develop high performance photonic devices beyond human knowledge, we propose topology optimization method based on function expansion method and covariance matrix adaptation evolution strategy (CMA-ES). Compared with the function expansion method combined with the gradient approach, it is possible to efficiently find more global optimal structure.
