摘要
This article is aimed to optimize the loading configuration for the continuous-wave (CW) illuminator with horizontal polarization via the optimization algorithm. The working principle of the CW illuminator is introduced, with the difference between the illuminator with vertical polarization and that with horizontal polarization discussed. As the loading consisting of ferrite bead and resistance is analyzed and selected, the impedance with frequency of the loading is determined. Furthermore, the nonuniform loading configuration is studied. In this process, both the oscillators are divided into ten regions symmetrically, with each region loaded with different loading densities. Based on the dimension parameter of the loading, the upper limits for the loading density are determined. The loading configuration is optimized with the genetic algorithm and the particle swarm optimization algorithm. Then, the optimized design is verified by the self-built CW illuminator, and the deviation of the simulation and test is analyzed for the electromagnetic field of the illuminator.
