•RSG activated PPARγ improve ICH and relieve the ICH progression via regulating RAD21.•PPARγ/RAD21 may induce M2-type polarization of microglial cells and produced related protective factors.•PPARγ/RAD21 can be used as therapeutic targets for ICH treatment through regulating M1/M2 polarization of microglial cells.
