摘要
Background and objective. Button batteries (BB) are round batteries of different diameter and thickness that are used in everyday objects. They can be ingested by a child. International management exists but does not consider French specificities and not all cases are mentioned. The objective is to propose recommendations for management. Method. A review of the literature was carried out with the help of the French National Authority for Health to answer 13 questions. The articles selected were analysed, assigned, and summarised in the form of a scientific argument and recommendations; these were submitted to a multidisciplinary reading group of 70 people. Results. In case of ingestion of a BB or of doubt, the child must be left fasting and not made to vomit. This should lead to an urgent frontal or even profile chest X-ray. The most worrying situation is when the pile is embedded in the oesophagus, in which case an upper digestive endoscopy is a vital emergency. The most serious situation is when the BB has caused an oesophagus -vascular fistula, which is most often fatal. The recommendations also refer to gastric and post -pyloric stack situations. Conclusion. Management algorithms for all situations are proposed, as well as recommendations for parents and public authorities. (C) 2022 Societe Francaise de Toxicologic, Analytique.
