THz Channel Sounder and VNA Verification Measurement Based Over-the-Air Multipath Artifact

An over-the-air propagation of a quasi-static channel made by a correlation-based channel sounder compared to the same channel using a vector network analyzer at WR3.4 THz band is presented. The measurements produced fixed and comparable multipath components with calculable propagational properties to test measurement resolution and path loss at THz band. The power delay profile was selected as a measurement metric at both types of equipment for different rotational steps. The measurements showed a good performance of the sounder compared to the VNA in terms of measured distance and path loss.
