High-throughput kinetic turbidity analysis for determination of amorphous solubility and excipient screening for amorphous solid dispersions

•Automation-assisted turbidity assay allowed high-throughput, real-time assessment of apparent amorphous solubility.•The workflow robustly quantified solubility as HPLC analysis while significantly saving analytical time and lab efforts.•Kinetic data provided insight in the crystallization risk during the assay.•The material-sparing workflow can be used to screen excipient impacts on amorphous solid dispersion formulations.
