Predicting information usefulness in health information identification from modal behaviors

•Gesture or gaze behaviors can be employed for predicting information usefulness.•For the health information identification task, dwell time and gaze entropy in the reading are the strongest gesture and gaze predictors of information usefulness.•In F1_score, three models based on gesture, gaze, and both, all achieve above 77%.•Three models are applicable to different scenarios in health information identification.
