Implementation of a PI-Posicast Controller in a DC Microgrid feeding Local Load

In this work, a direct current microgrid topology is modeled, considering that it feeds linear direct current loads. In the microgrid model, parasitic elements are considered, such as those present in the batteries, the conductors, as well as the constant power loads and their equivalent capacitance. From the microgrid model, the transfer functions of the voltage and current loops are obtained; necessary to tune their regulators. To regulate the operation of the microgrid a PI type controller is proposed in the current loop and as a contribution to this research work, it is proposed to make a comparison of two controllers in the voltage loop. The first controller is a PI and the second controller is a PI-Posicast. The objective of this comparative is to see which of the two controllers produces a better performance of the microgrid. The results of the whole system are validated by means of simulations performed in Matlab and PSIM™.
