Antenna Far-Field Characterization from Small Phaseless Dataset

The evaluation of the radiated field is a standard requirement in antenna development to assess the radiation performances. However, this characterization process is costly and sophisticated. Therefore, a significant research effort is focused towards the relaxation of measurements constraints to ease the mandatory measurements. Two possibles approaches are the reduction of the number of sampling points and the call for phaseless measurements. In this article, a post-processing procedure for phaseless measurements to interpolate the magnitude of the radiated far field accurately from a reduced set of points is proposed and validated on experimental data.
