Exploring the dynamic fracture performance of epoxy/cement based piezoelectric composites with complex interfaces

•A domain-independent I-integral is employed for dynamic fracture analysis of piezoelectric composites.•The DII-integral is domain-independent for electromechanical interfaces.•The amplitudes of the dynamic IFs decrease with the increase of the piezoelectric particle size.•Dynamic IFs of piezoelectric composites are evidently affected by the volume fraction of piezoelectric ceramic.
