摘要
Gastrointestinal (GI) adverse reactions occurring throughout the course of oral immunotherapy (OIT) have been long recognized.1 These symptoms are often grouped together in reports on OIT but in fact represent several entities with different mechanisms, ranging from immediate IgE-mediated reactions, through anxiety and food aversion, and finally, a spectrum of nonimmediate GI symptoms, the most severe being eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).1 The predominant treatment approach to OIT-associated EoE has been discontinuation of OIT.
