Experience of the homecare of children on automatic peritoneal dialysis during the COVID-19 outbreak: A qualitative descriptive study.

Families with children on automatic PD addressed the stress from COVID-19 and its containment measures by closely adhering to COVID-19 preventative measures, actively adjusting mentality and maintaining a sense of normality during the outbreak. This implies that healthcare staff need to be more aware of the complex medical needs of families with children on automatic PD, advocate for them and facilitate their navigation through the repurposed healthcare system.
